ripken204 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 on newegg im looking at proccsesors and there was a warningNotice: This Processor Works with SocketT (LGA775) Motherboard ONLY!my mobo, asus p5gd2 premium, has LGA775 but doesnt say nething about socketT, what is socketT and will i be able to use it?

rupert86 Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 The LGA775 is also called Socket T (since it was meant to evolve for the now-cancelled Tejas processor). You may call it slang-name or whatever it is, in the same manner that the the Socket 462 (of AMD Athlon XP) was also called Socket A.
