sfetaz Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I do not have a floppy disk drive that works and I want to update my bios. Asus instructions are for using a floppy disk. Is there a way to update a bios with a burned CDR? Maybe with a bootable one?
ripken204 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 ucould try looking for one that will flash the bios w/out a floppy, u just clik on it and restart the comp
firefoxthebomb Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I have done this by booting windows in command prompt only opiton and running the bios file from there. Some thing else you could try is make a bootable cd with dos files on it, and copy the bios file to that same cd and boot with it and run the file.
puntoMX Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 For ASUS you have windows flash utils, check them out on there site .
