is there anyway to stop that pop up, in XP , that says my cable is unplugged, Cause i already know that, And i Don't want to disable it...

Do you currently have the network icon running in your taskbar?

If so, you can try to right click My Network Places, go to properties, right click on your NIC, go to properties, and uncheck the "Show icon in notification area when connected."

That may resolve your issue.

No that is something different. If you check that...it causes your network connection to show up to show the back and forth transmissions. That won't solve the popup that he's talking about. I would like to find an answer to that though because it gets on my nerves too!

i dont believe thats a ballon tip. Its letting you know that you have no interent connection

Guys guys thanks for the help, Checking that one thing didn't do the trick, no problem i can live with it, and I really get scared about messing with the registery, Cuase i did that once in 98 and f***ed the whole OS up LOL ...SO it's fine
