It seems to me, mother board chip set designers have a LONG way to go, to make computers faster, we'er just now seening board that move data faster around . I would like to hear what you think about this, and where should they take it, how fast should fast be, and why.

Well you shouldn't expect a Celeron system, running at 66 FSB to play the role of a gameing system, or to be the front runner in the race for speed, Alot my have to do with your sub system of the mother board

Yes its' the hard drive for sure, i use a seagate 7,200 20.4 and it's fast, Also sounds like you might need to defrag that baby a lot just to keep it running smooth..

A friend of mine LOL .... installed a copy of windows XP from a oem cd... and wants to know if SP1 will work or not on his computer, and he's copy IS activated, it was done over the net... would this mess up Xp if he downloaded and installed it ?

Cool, then someone could make a bios flasher, that would just change the Maker of the Bios name, to that of the oem copy you have, and flash the bios, And get around the WHOLE, Activation and everything Cool... HAHA ! Microsoft

I Once found a tip to make windows explorer open up to the c:\ and Not to the my documents folder, and i can't find it now , i need help, I hate when it just opens up my documents, Does someone know what i'm talking about ?

Oem copy of XP that comes with Gateway systems, Can be installed with out activation on Other gateway systems...

The Oem copy of Windows Xp that comes with New Gateway computers Can be installed on Other gateway systems with out haveing to activate ..... I've made a lot of money doing this LOL
