Partition To Use

Recommended Posts

When I run my unattended CD on a pc with a single hard drive, it runs fine from the start to finish.

When I try it on a pc which hard drive is split into 2 partitions, the install stop and asks with partition to use.

How can I change this that is automatically formats the primary partition and continues to install?

There's no way to do this, unless you're looking at WinPE.

The standard setup knows only 2 things:

a.  to install on the first primary partition whether another OS is there or not (messy)
b.   to remove all partitions and make a new one and install on it

How do I do option a? What file do I need to change and how?

If I understand correctly, when you install windows (W2k) on a partition with an installation of W2k on it, windows wants to overwrite everything. It warn you that you are going to loose everything on the disk. Will the first option help me if I have 2 partitions on my hdd with windows on c:?
