N1K
I have downloaded few themes from Mozzila's Web site and now I can't apply these themes. The problem is that I can't download and install the theme directly because I'm going to the net through a proxy connection which doesn't allow this kind of installation...The question is how can I install that themes if they are downloaded on my PC in .jar format?Thx
horsecharles
go here & scroll to the bottom, you'll be able to do it instantly(it's not what you think either): http://texturizer.net/firefox/themes/index.html#install
Nanaki
Just drag 'em into your theme manager.
SiMoNsAyS
or from the command line "pathtofirefox\firefox.exe -install-global-theme pathtotheme\theme.jar"
N1K
Just drag 'em into your theme manager. It worked, of course, thx
nitro322
or from the command line "pathtofirefox\firefox.exe -install-global-theme pathtotheme\theme.jar"SiMoNsAyS, I use this method for my silent install script. However, I just updated to Firefox 1.0.1, and this option no longer seems to work. I can install themes manually, but if I try to install using the -install-global-theme, it never shows up in the Theme Manager.Could you (or anyone else) please test this with 1.0.1 and let me know if it works for you? Wondering if it's just me, or if it's a bug in 1.0.1.Thanks.

nitro322
FYI, I tried this again recently, and it did work this time around. I was also able to confirm it on a second PC. I have no idea why I was having this issue earlier.
SiMoNsAyS
also there is an extension for this purpose (mr. tech local-install), that adds an install button on themes and extensions windows
