16 - 36 = 25 - 45

16 - 36 + (81/4) = 25 - 45 + (81/4)

(4^2) - 2 * 4 * (9/2) + [(9/2)^2] = (5^2) - 2 * 5 * (9/2) + [(9/2)^2]

[4 - (9/2)]^2 = [5 - (9/2)]^2

taking sq. roots on both sides.

4 - (9/2) = 5 - (9/2)

Adding (9/2) on both sides we get:

4 = 5 (or) 2 + 2 = 5

(find the error)

You can do a similar thing using the equation:

4 - 10 = 9 - 15

add (25/4) to both sides to get 2 = 3

[4 - (9/2)]^2 = [5 - (9/2)]^2

taking sq. roots on both sides.

4 - (9/2) = 5 - (9/2)

4 - (9/2) = -.5

5 - (9/2) = .5

when you did the square root you left out 'The square rot of a number is +/-', in this case we have a definite answer for '4 - (9/2)' for which the answer is negative, clearly left out in the proceding equation. Now i got one of me own

A = B
A^2 = AB
A^2 - B^2 = AB - B^2
(A+B)(A-B) = B(A-B)
(A+B) = B
A+A = A
2A = A
2 = 1
