amardeepsingh Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 hi friendsi am newbie in unattended xp installationi had somehow manage to install unattended xpbut i am unable to install my chipset,video ,sound and other supplied driversplz help me out how to install my driversi have few queries1. i have winnt.sif in my i386 folder, is there any need to add winnt.bat along with winnt.sif in the i386 folder. i havent copied any winnt.bat file. i have only winnt.sif file in my i386 folders. does this affect the drivers detection process2. Secondly i had entered following lines in my winnt.sif file regarding drivers[unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=Yes OemPnpDriversPath="drivers\000_chipset;drivers\000_chipset\xp;drivers\001_network;drivers\001_network\PRO100\WS03XP32;drivers\001_network\PRO100\WIN2K;drivers\002_graphics;drivers\002_graphics\Win2000;drivers\003_tvout;drivers\004_sound;drivers\004_sound\WDM5190;drivers\004_sound\WDM5190\WinNT4;drivers\004_sound\WDM5190\wdm;drivers\005_monitor;drivers\006_storagepatch;drivers\007_iaa;drivers\008_mouse;drivers\008_mouse\Win2KXP;drivers\009_keyboard;drivers\009_keyboard\4510P" DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore i want to know whether the quotes should be there at both ends of the drivers path linemy drivers folder look like thistell me is the arrangement of folders is right or oki am attaching my winnt.sif file for your referencewinnt.sif
member11 Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 there are some changes you need to make.1-decide which operating system you want the drivers to install. If you want them to install in winxp, there is no point of including driver for other windows EXCEPT the one you installed.2- When you extract the driver from your driver setup (using winrar or look at read me for instruction), only keep the inf files.hope it helps
