Forgive the stupid question but this is just for the built in burning crap that comes with XP or is there a problem burning ISOs under other programs too? I saw mention of [cheaters] file or something, is this related? I'm using Nero Burning ROM and don't seem to have any problems, but I'm not burning ISO images, just making new CDs.

This would refer to burning ISO using XP built in crap. Kinda like a add-on.

I checked the link, I don't think it works anymore. (maybe temp down)

Anyhow try this:

ISO recorder powertoy was basically a missing feature that the final version of powertoys should have had.

I also liked the shellplayer but they removed it from the final powertoy version.

a few other neat add-ons .. dvd pack, mp3 pack for wmp

They are all leaked. I actually used a different codec for mp3 and made some registry tweaks. After all that trouble, I don't even use wmp anymore... oh well!

Oh getting back to ISO recorder, umm.. don't bother.

that's my own opinion.

it´s a kind of palliative... I also prefer my burning softwares...:spaced

I use many as BlindWrite Suite, CloneCD, FireBurner, ISO Buster, Nero and Roxio, all working fine...
