Jeremy
I also have a D-Link 604. However, I have set a password to it and don't remember it. Anyway of clearing the password or at least a way to recover what it is? PuntoMX told me to reset mine and I did that but it didn't fix anything. *sigh*Cheers,Jeremy
JoeMSFN
(assuming it's a DI 604) Straight outta the manual.... from Dlink's Website The procedure seems to be the same for either revision.ResetTo reset the system settings to factory defaults, please follow these steps:1. Leave the device powered on, do not disconnect the power2. Press the reset button and hold (use a paper-clip)3. Keep the button pressed about 10 seconds4. Release the buttonThe DI-604 will then automatically reboot itself.Steps 1 and 3 being the most noteworthy. When you "reset" it, did you hold the button in long enough? I've also seen some (not this model, maybe not this brand) where you have to apply power while holding reset. Perhaps not using the correct default user name/password? (Whoa !!!) I just looked at the manual...To log in as an administrator, enter the username of “admin” and thepassword (there are no default password, leave it blank).I've seen "admin" for the password with no username, but this is the first time I've seen the PASSWORD BLANK!!!
