matrix0978 Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 I tried to play music and when it opens an error message pops up saying 'Windows media player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, or it may not funtion properly.' ???
puntoMX Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Do you have sound when you play games?try to re-install the soundcard... that´s the only thing I could think of .
puntoMX Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Okay, there is your problem, it´s only working with a sound card.
matrix0978 Posted January 18, 2005 Author Posted January 18, 2005 Eh no, because it worked before my computer got all messed up!

Spyder2k Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Only scenario I can think of is an onboard soundcard. You'll need to re-install the drivers in any event. Right click My Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager. The devices marked with a yellow exclamation mark represent malfunctioning hardware (inclusive of hardware that lacks drivers)
