Why doesn't MSN Messenger allow me to use odd sized fonts?

If I set it to an odd sized font such as 9,11,13,etc, so on... it automatically chooses the higher even sized font. If I select size 9 font it automatically sets it to 10 and it doesn't matter what type of font I have selected.

This isn't a problem in other IMs.

I am using the latest 7 beta, however when using any previous 6.x versions I had the same problem.

Sounds weird... I am not having this problem with the latest 7 BETA... However, it is a BETA, and there are always bugs in BETAs... It should get fixed by the next release... Hopefully...
