Hey guys is there a way to add /bootlogo to the end of the boot.ini unattendly or even add a dupicate as the above on except with the extra command and new name

bootcfg will only run during Recovery Console or Recovery unless I am mistaken

Yes there are ways to add things to boot.ini such as using using a vbs script or a ??I forget??.exe that wil modify ini's.

If you knew exactly what the line would read even cmd can do thaT with the Attrib -R -S and then using ECHO. A little involved but has been done.

'bootcfg' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.

I must be mistaken then about what that says.

odd, running xp here and it runs just fine from the command line

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings\Amp>bootcfg

Boot Loader Settings
--------------------
timeout: 30
default: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS

Boot Entries
------------
Boot entry ID:   1
Friendly Name:   "Microsoft Windows XP Professional (bootscreen)"
Path:            multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
OS Load Options: /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /KERNEL=kernel1.exe

Boot entry ID:   2
Friendly Name:   "Microsoft Windows XP Professional"
Path:            multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
OS Load Options: /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

(it gives me the option to load my custom boot screen or not, I'll get rid of it...eventually)
