gRoberts Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Hi there GuysI was sick of trying to silent install Deamon tools, well found a way. Open the executable, and then goto C:/Documents and Settings/username/Local Settings/temp/If its full of stuff, close Deamon tools and delete temp files, then reopen, you will notice a weird file 34hj2ho.msi in there, copy it out onto your desktop and rename to deamon.msiclose original installation, and then test... Now you can use the correct switches without any problems.Possibly update this on your tutorial page?Gav
MCT Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 this has been discussed several times , its by no means a "new" concept
SiMoNsAyS Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 lol check the similar named thread Daemon Tools Final Solution
gRoberts Posted January 15, 2005 Author Posted January 15, 2005 Thats providing you have the version that is MSI, if you goto their website it only comes as a EXE package. Not MSI.Gav
gRoberts Posted January 16, 2005 Author Posted January 16, 2005 I knows thats why I posted the information originally, if you run the exe version you can get the msi exec from your temp folderGav
gRoberts Posted January 16, 2005 Author Posted January 16, 2005 winace user here lolI knew you could do things like that, but saying that my mate gave me a dvd with an unattended setup on it and asked why it didn't work, so i'm making my own.Plus my family owns a computer business in the north east of England, and we need a quick and easy way of installing a os and software on there before we roll them out. Looked at the way you lot marvel the Microsoft wonders and well I am very impressed and I am learning yet again. Now I need a way of being able to download information from the internet whilst installing xp ?Anyone know if you can? Im connected via wireless router and cable modem ( im non wireless connected via ethernet ) and my network card does not need any drivers to run.If you know of a way, please let me know?ThanksGav
