Sonicboom Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 I just had the EXACT same error while re-installing Windows XP Pro SP2. I tried memory, bios settings, another disc, know what it was?A bad cd-rom drive!Just letting you know what fixed my problem.Later,SB
IcemanND Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 i had this problem when I tried loading my machine when it was overclocked. Ran fine overclocked but would not install the os that way.
Drewdatrip Posted January 30, 2005 Posted January 30, 2005 Sounds like one of these:1. Bad WinXp Cd2. Bad Cd-Drive3. Bad IDE cableAnd lastly maybe a bad HDD, however this option is not suerp likly...but one to investigate|Drew|
