Bud4wiser
So what's the deal with the "free stuff" being hyped on so many tech forum sites. So like, if I "test" a product - I get a laptop, or vid card or whatever.....?Anyone try these "offers"....? Shotgun
If you refer to "freeware", those are completely free (as in free beer), no strings attached software that you can download and keep. Some have use restrictions if you're planning to use them in a commercial or business environment. On the other hand, if you refer to those "free-to-try" offers in many tech-sites, then the answer is "It depends". Most of them are just try-out versions or trials of commercial software. Some others are free software, but plagued by spyware or other nasties. Very few are true "FREE" software (freeware) offers. Better be prepared with a good AV, firewall and spyware checking software. As for "free" webcams and stuff: well if you are lucky enough to get a hold of those "free" things they say they're gonna send you, most of the time they are of very low quality and you will feel pilfered for wasting your time on such things. As a wise man said: "there is no such thing as a free lunch". My 2 cents.

Register with your accurate contact info (such as email & postal address) when requested so we know where to ship your gift. 2. Complete a total of 6 sponsor offers. Our sponsors cover the entire cost of your gift along with the shipping & handling fees for us to ship the gift to you. Examples of sponsored offers may include free trial offers, credit cards, free quote requests and other free or low-cost offers. Please note that there are typically a variety of offers presented for your selection - some offers require a small purchase, while others are free trials or free applications which does not require a purchase (and can be cancelled without obligation). To 'Complete' an offer, you must sign up, get approved for and activate (where applicable*) the sponsor offer, while following any instructions and terms that are provided. *For Discover Card offers, the card must be activated by making a purchase, balance transfer or cash advance in order for the offer to be considered 'completed'. When our sponsors report to us that you completed their offers, your account will be updated accordingly. This will generally take 4 to 6 weeks depending on the offer. 3. After your account has been updated with the required number of completed offers, log into your account and access your mail-in address confirmation form.
