RyanVM Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 I really hate my hosting provider. They send me these notifications when I'm getting near my bandwidth limit saying I'm at 80% of my available bandwidth. Then they keep sending those notifications until I hit 100%. You'd think instead of continually telling me "You've reached 80%", they'd let me know that that 80% was closer to 95%!So, sorry about being out of bandwidth. I'm attempting to find some temporary hosting of my files, but since I'm currently home for the holidays, I have extremely limited access to my main system, which has all my MSFN files on it. (wow, that sentence in its first incarnation was nearly impossible to read)So, please bear with me
sixpack Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 why not host it on ezsharehttp://ezshare.de/en/main.html
RyanVM Posted December 26, 2004 Author Posted December 26, 2004 It would be a nice temporary solution, but right now I've still got the problem of not having access to my system where all the files actually are.I can't even connect to my site's CPanel right now.
sixpack Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 mmm.. cant you ask some people that did download, upload it to ezshare

twizt3d Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 (edited) arite problem solved.....http://ryanvm.twizt3d.comand check his ftp server for the other files... Edited January 1, 2005 by Alanoll
beaumar Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 Hello,Twizt3d:Tried to login to ftp.twizt3d.com to upload what I have of the RyanVM files (just Adobe 6.02, but I figured something was better than nothing and maybe ppl would see some activity and take the hint! )The user name of msfn was accepted, but the password of msfn was not. Used both IE's built-in ftp login capability and, when that didn't work, used SmartFTP...that didn't work either. So, please double-check your ftp server settings and maybe we'll see some of the RyanVM files uploaded muy pronto! To those of you who don't know what's needed to be uploaded:Still need just about everythingAdobe 6.02 installAdobe 7.0 install.Net1.1 with SP1JavaVM 5 (btw, does anyone know if RyanVM has updated this to the newest 1.6 version? It just came out a couple of weeks ago...)Hope we can get this going. I can't offer any hosting or anything, just my appreciation to folks like RyanVM, Bashrat, Greenmachine, Astalavista, Pyron, et. al. who put in countless hours figuring out how all this stuff works so the rest of us have something to waste our time on. If I've missed someone (i.e. all the msfn moderators), please accept my apologies and belated gratitude...
XtremeMaC Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 I was about to upload the wu pack 1.04 but i don't have the original version, bc i don't want some updates in the pack i've modified it. sorry about that.anyways i'm uploading the .net 1.1 & adobe 6 reader packi'm on 32kbit upload so its going to take about 1.5hour or so, so be patient. i'll be giving out the link...edit: 1hr left on the upload patience is the key, hmm no, upload speed is the key
XtremeMaC Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 (edited) ok here they are.net 1.1 sp1 link removed bc it exist on msfn....(check unattended guide..)adobe reader 6.02 pack removed as well bc 7.0 is released... i see "no one" has wu update pack? i can upload my modified version, which doesn't include: shell extension, font properties thingy, remote desktop connection update, sysinternals shutdown.exe +2-3 non critical updates) 9.0MBi'm really wondering if it was worth my time, but anyways there they are..edit: to be exact on the ryanvm's update pack here's what i have: [removed not needed anymore...]sorry i don't have time to attach this right now, be back in 6hrs...files in wu pack have been modified accordingly, so svcpack.inf is modified, non-included files are deleted, cab's recreated, tested and working on a new nlited xp sp2...but i don't think ryan "wants" such a release from me, does he?
