angel0104 Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 hi i've just reinstalled my windows xp--new installation.i've highlighted a file and want to make a shortcut on my desktop but then i can't seem to get it done fast and easy because my send to menu is missing.how can i get it back? how can i restore it?i used the rvm update pack 1.3 and xpize 2.5 with my unattended cd.
MCT Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 neither of these programs should touch the send to menui believe ryanvm's pack is just programs & patches& xpize is only hacked files with icons, neither should touch that try making that structure on your cd$Docs\Default User\SendTo
angel0104 Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 thanks but i think my sendto options on my userprofiles and also with the default user are intact, but it's still strange that i don't have the send to on my context menu... please help...
firefoxthebomb Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Might be a long shot but if you have another user where they work, copy there sendto folder from there documents and settings folder to your document and settings folder.
XPero Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I also use Ryan Pack and XPize (obviously ) and never had this problem. Sorry
Yzöwl Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Go to Start => Run and type the following before clicking OKREG ADD "HKCR\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Send To" /v "" /d "{7BA4C740-9E81-11CF-99D3-00AA004AE837}" /fIt should of course all be on one line
