LCD Monitors & VC Combo?

I really want an LCD and I wanna upgrade my Video Card as it's falling behind in the race to be able to play current games.

I've been told LCDs aren't really the way to go for extreme gamers, but I ain't extreme gamer. I've seen such games as Tiger Woods golf played and yes I realize this ain't an intense graphics game, however this was just with Intel integrated graphics.

I don't want absolute best as I can't afford absolute best either.

All opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i just bought Samsung 910T from newegg for $510

I like samsung quality, i don't frankly understand the lcd's not being good for extreme gamers, yea refresh rate might be low, but so what. otherwise i don't understand "not for gamers" thing.

for graphics card, nvidia 6600's are pretty good at cost/performance. though i just bought 6800gt...

Check the Nec Nx series or the new Samsung T series or 12ms series.

Try to stick with somthing that has 12-16ms and a decent name.

As for the Vid card if you want to go all out the 6800gts are definatly a badass card.

However they are expensive...the 6600gts from MSI and eVGA seem to provide a nice punch for a decent price.
