laderio
When installing WIHU over Network, first Updates are installed from CD.Then a batch is called which tells you to connect to the network. Then WIHU is called over network. Is there any possibility to include such a batch in WIHU? ^^ WIHU would be on CD, the ini only on network then...Maybe a first try to execute the ini, if not found a screen with 3 buttons:-continue: new try to load the ini-exit: exits WIHU-search: search for another ini
BenjaminKalytta
You could specify where to find the ini file on command line./ini=drive:\path\iniI haven't tested it with UNC paths.Benjamin Kalytta
laderio
At the moment I call WIHU from the network share. But it would be better to call WIHU from CD and when there is no connection to the network WIHU shows some options...Only a suggestion, a batch is also possible but optical not so perfect ^^
tjhart85
Couldn't YOU do this in your batch file? Something likeIF EXIST Z:\file.txt DO Z:\wihu.exe /INI=Network.iniELSE %CDROM%\wihu.exe /INI=CDINSTALL.iniZ: of course would be your network shared drive and %CDROM% would be your CDRom drive.I'm not very good with DOS programming techniques, but the idea at least is sound (i think )
laderio
Of course I can do it, but wanted to make a suggestion, because it could be of interest for all, so why not integrate in WIHU.My idea was, that WIHU checks for the ini and when it is there it does what it always does But when the ini isnt there it shows a WIHU-Screen where you can browse the computer and check another ini, or just put the network-cable in, if it isn't ^^Don't really know how much programming-effort this would be, if it's not much it would be a good thing, I think.I just try to give the author of WIHU some feedback
