ankap Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 It doesn't matter for legal or illegal use.I mean that without the second key in HKEY_USERS it will work but only for the current user. The key [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-299502267-179605362-725345543-1003\Software\EasyBoot Systems\UltraISO\5.0] is useless, as it is only in your computer in others it has no effect. So if your version works well (with which I agree) it is for the registry entry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EasyBoot Systems\UltraISO\5.0]I have tested on 3 PCs and it works normally. But when you log in with new user you must import that registry again for that user.
Astalavista Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 easy u install the registry key during t-13 so will be applied to all users and even news ones. simple
ankap Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Look at my first post. I have talked about the same u saying and in addition I can tell how to add registry info for default user after windows setup.
Astalavista Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 why don u say u put the reg key into the registry tweak during t-13 up to u what u want to do all i know is that i works for me regardless of the user. later
SyntaxError Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 I'm using 7.5.0.955 ME. setup.exe /VERYSILENT /SP- works great, but for the registration, adding Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EasyBoot Systems\UltraISO\5.0]"Language"="1033""UserName"="XXXXX""Registration"="XXXXXXXXXXXX" does not work at all. Doing this caused ultraiso to still require registering, but it would not accept the correct code. So to get this working correctly, I uninstalled then reinstalled ultraiso manually and registered it, then exported the entire registry branch [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EasyBoot Systems] to a .reg file. Then I uninstalled ultraiso, checked the registry to make sure that branch was removed, which it was, then I reinstalled the program, and applied the exported .reg file.It works great, and since I'm using RunOnceEx.cmd to do everything, it should work for all future users.
TjobzzZ Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 @SyntaxErrorMaybe that's because you want to import[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EasyBoot Systems\UltraISO\5.0]while using version 7.5.0.955
SiMoNsAyS Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 i'm using 7.5.0.956 at the moment and the key is correct [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EasyBoot Systems\UltraISO\5.0]
SyntaxError Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 I got it to work putting my reg info in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EasyBoot Systems\UltraISO\5.0]but UltraISO doesn't always register for some reason. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've had the same problem with other unattended installed apps. Seems to be just another bug in windows architecture. Because of this, I gave up trying to install apps unattended and just stick with windows updates like .net framework, directx and sunjava.
