misskellibad1
I just read from a couple of different sources, that if I don't install this update then I won't be able to install future security updates. Have any of you guys heard this? Any truth to this, because I'm through trying to install this!
chastity
Well I've read about that too but from what I read that is only if your installion contians a known blacklisted cd-key
LS_Dragons
Misskelli:Are you tryinjg to do a full download and then install (network install) or the so-called 'express install'? Are you on dial up line or high speed connection? MS suggests the express install for slower connections - like dial up. What specific problems are you having?LS_Dragons
misskellibad1
Hey, LSI chose the express install for no other reason than "it's recommended" I have a high speed connection. Both times I tried I get this :error:occured while copying file pchsvc.dll, cannot copy file.then the computer shuts down, and restarts doing a chkdsk repeatedly. Does not boot into safe mode, does not boot into anything actually. I have to turn it off manually and then I get a stop error. The first time I chose repair to fix it, the second time I had to do a fresh install. I've looked around for a fix or a similiar problem and the best I can find is to delete a certain "pc health file" but I'm not about to do that just on one person's say so, as I'm not even sure if that's the file it's having trouble copying.
