Astalavista
does anyone have the silent install switch for this latest release?
Joc
Me too! The *.iss file is not working...
CoffeeFiend
The usual installshield method works fine. Tried it about 10 times, not a single glitch. Just like the old ones. I can post my iss file, cmd lines and tweaks if req'd. (I'm using the deluxe vers w/ DD EX and everything)And thankfully, it doesn't actually install tyhose crappy divx codecs, it just supports playback... Joc
I was blind... Everything is worked with setup.iss... Just delete first the installation directory in "Program Files" or you will get this -3 returncode! Joc

I have been intsalling and uninstalling PowerDVD several times today but no setup.iss file shows up on the Windows directory. I run it using the -R switch but still nothing shows up. What am i doing wrong? Thanks. EDIT: I am also using the same exact version as yours.
vcBlackBox
I run it using the -R switch but still nothing shows up. What am i doing wrong? It is not a -R, rather /r Try giving your iss file a destination, likesetup.exe /a /r /f1c:\setup.iss
CoffeeFiend
with -R /r or anything, it always creates it for me...@Joc: the idea is to uninstall the app first, not just delete the install dir...As for the iss... This is what I got, and it works flawlessly:[InstallShield Silent]Version=v6.00.000File=Response File[File Transfer]OverwrittenReadOnly=NoToAll[Application]Name=PowerDVDVersion=5.0Company=CyberLinkLang=0009[{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-DlgOrder]Dlg0={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdWelcome-0Count=7Dlg1={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdLicense-0Dlg2={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdDisplayTopics-0Dlg3={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdAskDestPath-0Dlg4={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdSelectFolder-0Dlg5={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SHOW_CLPV_CLEV_DIALOG-0Dlg6={6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdFinish-0[{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdWelcome-0]Result=1[{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdLicense-0]Result=1[{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdDisplayTopics-0]Result=1[{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdAskDestPath-0]szDir=C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVDResult=1[{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdSelectFolder-0]szFolder=CyberLink PowerDVDResult=1[{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SHOW_CLPV_CLEV_DIALOG-0]Result=1[{6811CAA0-BF12-11D4-9EA1-0050BAE317E1}-SdFinish-0]Result=1bOpt1=0bOpt2=

YESH... :Thanks. i have no idea what those switches do, but I just copied and pasted all of them in the Start -> Run Window (of course I added the PDVD executable path) and it worked. The setup.iss just appeared on my C: drive. Thanks to crahak too, for posting his setup.iss.
