cancer10 Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Is that a Google Bug or what? Try the following...1. Go to http://www.google.com/language_tools 2. Now type "my mom is cool and nice" (without the quotes) in Translate Text. 3. Translate the text from english to spanish using the options below. 4. You'll get the following text "mi mama es fresca y agradable" (again without quotes). 5. Now translate the same thing (the spanish text) back to english using the options below. 6. Chk out the eng text....now!!!
souldreamer Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 It isn't a bug. Mama = breast.Mother = Madre.
CoffeeFiend Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Hmm, I guess my post got deleted in the database glitch we had...Like I had said, it's no bug. Lots of words have several meanings that translate to different words in another language and such. The translator doesn't always pick the right one, just like most expressions make no sense once translated... No translator is perfect (even though they're making good progress), but you can still easily fool them.
SiMoNsAyS Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 my post was deleted too as i said before why my favorite translator does the same job as google?http://www.google.com/language_toolsvs.http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr
XtremeMaC Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 well of course the translators have no means of understanding exactly what u're trying to type. its not something with google. all the translators are like that unless the check for sanity of the sentence...also it won't understand jargon words. scientific words etc. try typing holy shi_t, i wonder what u'd get as translation

cancer10 Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 my post was deleted too And mine too!So repeat, lolHA HA....rip-roaring And again, cancer10, please remember to post humour in the "Funny Farm" section.*thread moved OMG! and wot makes u think its a humor? Its not a joke man. Its a serious discussion to find whether it is a bug or wot.
prathapml Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Take it easy man,It was a joke! And no, it is not a bug. Automated translators can only go so far... and machines were always stupid anyways - there's only so much that algorithms can do.See souldreamer's reply above too.
CoffeeFiend Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 OMG! and wot makes u think its a humor? Its not a joke man. Its a serious discussion to find whether it is a bug or wot.First, you say you found a bug in ALL versions of windows 2000/xp/2003 (some virus you had) then next google has bugs? Ok! If you say so... (people could only assume it was mild humour really...) Perhaps it's the first time you used a translator. Stop seeing bugs everywhere....
