Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know how to autoamtically create multiple partitions of specific sizes on a single hard disk drive using an unattended XP setup, the user guide mentions using a third party software package like Winpe or Bartpe, I have both and have used a little but I am unsure how to incorporate it into my setup CD and use diskpart.

Has anyone done this??

Thanks for that, I had seen this discussion but it is talking about the winnt.sif controlling the autopartition of the HDD.

What I would like to do is partition the HDD prior to this point using bartpe\winpe's diskpart, has anyone tried or used this method in an unatended XP setup CD?? if so how did you achieve it ????

yep I got the commands nailed in diskpart using a .CMD or .BAT ,

But how do I start diskpart and call these commands before the winnt.sif takes control of the disk partitioning, I want to set the partitions up B4 the winnt.sif does, How??, do i need to edit another file somewere so it does it before the SIF file takes over im not sure...

Windows setup can't create multiple partitions automatically, editing any files won't give you anything. Just as you said - first boot to winpe/bartpe.

Then launch diskpart script and then launch setup.
