September 27, 200421 yr dude.. look in the sp2 hotifixes sticky.. theres like 2 pages of ppl discussing this
September 28, 200421 yr Author thanks sorryso there isn't yet a solution to integrate and put the patched tcpip.sys in?sorry for my englishi will follow the other discussionsorry again
September 28, 200421 yr so there isn't yet a solution to integrate and put the patched tcpip.sys in?*bangs own head on wallThat there IS a solution, is what Alanoll and MCT were telling above!
September 28, 200421 yr I posted two ways in the SP2 hotfix thread for how to add the patched copy of the updated tcpip.sys file yesterday. Do a little homework next time.
September 28, 200421 yr Author sorry guysi don't know perhaps i have problem with the boardthe last message on that thread that i can read is thisI'm still about, I just haven't had a chance yet to get my other system up, been having problems with my back and seizures recently, I should have it ready by tommorow at the latest. Will get back to you then about it.Thanks for letting me know. Shoot me an IM for an updated test (and hopefully final) version.i was searching for that solution:integrate kb884020 but with patched tcpip.sys directlyhope i'm not just gone mad...
September 28, 200421 yr Author i looked...what to say probably i'm stupid... i read2.) Yes, you'll be replacing the file in i386 on your CD. The problem is that when KB884020.exe runs from svcpack.inf, it's going to overwrite your patched tcpip.sys which was copied from i386 with the unpatched version from the EXE.I've nearly got a solution for this problem ready to go, thoughthat solution is my solution... boh...
September 28, 200421 yr Boy, don't make me slap you I told you how to integrate it. I hold you how to find it. READ MY POST. Open a command prompt, go to the directory where your hotfix is, and type it's name then /? Read the box, and skim to the bottom.
September 28, 200421 yr Author hi all sorry for yesterday but it was 5 AM here in ITaly...@AlanollI know how to integrate the hotfix... my problem is seaching a method to integrate it WITH the tcpip.sys modded for limited connectionI think it is what RyanVM is trying to do...@RyanVMglad to know i'm not mad i will gald to help you but i didn't understand well what is the pooint?are trying to dissasemble the hotfix installation?in my small working i was thinking to not install or iintegrate the patch at allbut recreate that conditionI mean import all reg key that hotfix create and then change the tcpip.sysbut i don't know what's about the .cat file (if it is necessary)hope you all don't slap me again
September 28, 200421 yr I don't think the cat file is necessary, but it's still very easy to copy it into the system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE} folder. And trying nothing, I've got the method worked out already (and it's successful). I'm just waiting on verification that HighMAT works and I'm releasing it.The one thing is that I'm doing it for the English version of Windows. However, other languages shouldn't be too hard to do, is it will only mean changing some files and editing an INF.
September 28, 200421 yr Author I can try for italian versionbut you shoul explain me what you have done...thanks... anyway... looking forward news from you
September 28, 200421 yr already integrated it and it works perfectly with the way explained in unattended.msfn.org.
