When beginning with this stuff, sticking around the forum and seeing how others have done it is the best strategy. Also, read the "sticky"ed topics in each section of the forums.

For this particular purpose, go to the "Unattended windows" section, and read all the topics linked to, in the "Threads of interest". That contains the information you want. Also read "Giving Your Windows Cosmetic Surgery".

READING THE PAST THREADS is useful - there's threads of last 2 years, do read them before springing a question on!

and....... SEARCH BUTTON IS YOUR FRIEND!!!!! use it before asking something!

Yes.

He says to read all the things already been told here. People have been talking of this thing since years over here, and then someone comes and asks to explain ONCE AGAIN?

No one has an excess of time to be repeating the same things again and again. Instead of just asking around for things, make some effort on your part as well (if only by reading past topics), is all that was said. Read the topics that he referred to, to understand how to do it.
