I dont know if i understood it right, but if you want to cancel the NORMAL logon, go to My Computer, Control Panel, Users . Then delete the usernames if you dont want to log in each time you start WIndows. :)

But maybe it's something else... :}

You understood right, & your idea might work, but only after Windows is completly installed & functional...

I wnat to do this even before the first login...

Oh, i just figured out! After you install Windows, there is a logon screen.

Now hear: If you type a usernam and password, Windows will save it for the next time. To avoid that , just press Esc or Cancel and it will not prompt you for loggon next time you start Windows. :thumbup

P.S. im taking over the forum :sneaky:

About the ESC, It works. but yet again:

It's not unattendedly...

I didn't say I don't like it...

I just don't want it...

I'm the only user on the PC, so I have no need for that...

P.S: You are crazy... keep up the good work...

(by replying answer not more questions) :D

There's nothing unattended or automaticly by doing this from the Control Panel...

Control Panel is active only after windows is installed & running...

MtK, since you use MSBATCH.INF for unattended install, just try exploring around the tool which creates it (Batch98, I think - in resource Kit folder on Win98 CD). There is a value that allows auto-logon into the default user's account every-time. Maybe it was un-documented...

Otherwise, there's another option:

Try monitoring the registry using RegShot.

Take a registry snap before the "automatic login of a single user every-time" gets activated, and one after. Comparing the two should tell you which registry values are used for this. The MSBATCH creator allows integrating registry (.REG) files. Any clarifications, you're welcome to ask. :)

@prathapml

I think RegShot could be a good idea since I didn't find any clue about autologon in Batch98...

The question is how would I take a Reg-Shot before logon?
