How can I get rid of the "16 unread messages" on my logon screen?

i expect they are for hotmail, you have msn messanger installed and the email plugin?

uninstall msn and then reinstall it but dont add the plugin.

Another way would be to edit your login screen, just as if you where making your own, just cut the code out for the emails. theres a guide in one of the forums that tells you how to edit the login screen.

*note to self* add that guide to guides section duh.

If you are not as computer literate ( like me ) you could install tweak ui, there's an option under logon.

Hey guys! Thanx for the tips, but I think the easiest way is to delete a registry key! I just typed "regedit", searched for "****_******_***@hotmail.com" and deleted the key! Worked out fine! Everything is back to normal!
