One question...

Let's say DELL has an order for 15 computers for a company. Do they put the same key on all 15 computers or different ones?

for Dell: Each comes with its own CD. I orders 3 before and each has its own CDs key.

Different CD's, CD Keys, Software Backups, Driver Backups..

The company your Dad works for probably obtained a Volume License Key (VLK) from M$,which means all their machines use the same key.
