checking if Retail or Corp

I've xcopied both the Retail and Corp edition of XP Pro.

if i forgot which was which...

how could i tell which is which? is there a specific file that tells the difference?

Yes, open setupp.ini (found in I386) - and check for the last 3 digits on the second line.

Retail XP Pro has "000" as the expected string.

On a slightly unrelated note, what does the stuff in setupp.ini "do"? (not exactly, just forgot the correct verb)

this may sound stupid to most!!! but whats the difference between the corporate and retail editions of XP pro???

where i live all software is freeware...we dont use automatic updates....we share everything B) ..... so we dont need to know much abt whats legal and whats not.... there is no law against software piracy...isnt that somthing??? hehe

Just so you know, corp edition of WinXP doesn't need to be activated, whereas the retail and OEM versions have to be.
