This may sound like a dumb question, but how do I actually use this modded file for a currently install system? I figure I can use it for a slipstream CD? I assume since I use a fileshare program, I want more connections. And is termsrv required to use the tcpip.sys file? I read the instructions, but I dont understand. Do I need to do the expand files and run replacer? Or can I just replace my current one? I dont want to mess up my fresh install! Someone please guide me!

All you really have to do is replace tcpip.sys with the one downloaded from this site and you're done.

Of course the cache is unless WFP is disabled it will simply delete the hacked version and replace the old version after a few seconds. So make sure you disable WFP first. The info for doing that is in the sticky at the top of this thread as well.

So that also will work on my currently running system? Assuming I turn off file protection, replace tcpip.sys, and run the reg tweak? But I still dont know what enabling concurrent connections means!

If you don't know what concurrent connections means then you don't need it.

All it means is more then one person can be logged in and doing stuff on the computer at the exact same time.

The way this is done is one person would be physcially at the computer using it normally. The other person would then be using remote desktop to term in and use the computer themselves. Normally when someone logs in remotely it will boot the other user. As it only allows one person at a time.

The concurrent sessions are usually only used with server OS's. Although some users may share a computer and thus have use for it at home as well.
