XL-DJK Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I would like to "slipstream" the wmp10 files on a WinXP sp2 CD so that it replaces wmp9, how do I accomplish thisJust to add: I DON'T want to Silent install it, but ADD files so wmp10 is PART of the Setup..... you know what I mean? B)
arablizzard2413 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I know what you are talking about... but it would take massive amounts of work and modifying the setup files (not to mention that setup would complain that the files are not signed). Search in the Unattended section for the topic that talks about replacing WMP 8 with WMP 9, that might help. No one knows exactly how to do it for WMP 10 because it just came out, that and it's easier to to a silent install instead of painful manual modification.
bucketbuster Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Take a look here:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=26464&st=60I have done some work, maybe someone else can take it over, because I really don't know how to modify setup files.
