Hi all

I would like to know if there is a key(s) to close all windows. I know there are some programs to do like that but i'd like to know if there is a key to do that job.

I have read it somewhere that if you press Shift and click on Close button which is on the top-right corner as you know, it will close all the windows but that does not work.

Hope somebody knows

I never heard of a key to do that... You basically *have* to send the proper WM_Close message (or similar) to all windows, and no key combination will do that.

takuma2004, what you have heard/read is correct. but this works with windows explorer. If you set windows explorer to open new folders in new windows then instead of having to click on the "X" on all the windows, you can simply hold down Shift and click on the "X" of just one window and they will all close.

Double click my computer, select tools-folder options- and in the general tab under browse folder select "open each folder in it's own window. click ok, now give it a try.

I think this was back for win95 and i believe NT when it didnt have an option to open the folders in the same window.

It's Windows Key + D, or rather it minimises all windows. I don't think you can close them all, at least not using the Windows Key shortcuts.
