Taskbar problem

Hello! I hope that someone can help me otu here.

After doing a clean install with xpsp2 intergrated my taskbar has gone weird. its not showing the windows that are open problery, am i right in guessing that i could fix it from the reg? if so how?

Well if you unlock your taskbar you will be able to resize it as you wish.

Have you use a reg tweak to enable the taskbar unattended?

nope even with the taskbar inlocked its still the same i want to see what the windows are without haveing to open the window or hover over them

How about getting rid of your profile. Does it happen if you log on as a different user?

tryed to log in under guest, still has the same problem

Does this happen with different themes or just that one? Is that theme shown in your picture a Royale theme? In Display Properties > Appearcance under Color Scheme, see if there is a different variation which will display applications on the taskbar properly.
