re-enter productkey

Featured Replies

Hey everyone. I slipstreamed SP2 and added many programs to my install cd with no problems. The only thing is, I am asked only for my productkey during the install when it is already in winnt.sif

I have tried:

[UserData]
   ProductKey=#####-#####-#####-#####-#####

and

[UserData]
   ProductKey = "#####-#####-#####-#####-#####"

Once i enter it in the install, it works perfectly and the rest goes without any input. Any ideas?

Just grabbed this out of my winnt.sif and it is working for me:

[UserData]
ProductID=#####-#####-#####-#####-#####

I hope this works for you to

proably just a typo check em all :) hope you sort it mate

If I am not mistaken, the ProductID line only worked with WinXP Gold and SP1 changed this to ProductKey, have not tested Sp2 yet but would hope that they didn't change it again.

:blink: Sorry guys, both forms in my first post work. I had mis-typed the key, thanks for the help :D

why did you post the same exact thing twice? double post? EDIT :: Nevermind

ProductID is still supported, it's a legacy thing.

Make sure you're typing the key properly
