Downloading Windows .NET Server RC1

Aaron,

So did you register yourself with M$ as a beta tester or use someone else login id?

I got mine through our company MSDN subscription, its not worth downloading unless you are going to use the software in a proper corporate environment. We setup a Compaq Proliant with .NET Standard we got about 50 users on it, seems to work well although there are a few issues which we had to report to M$.

I know its mainly for a corporate environment, but isn't it true that the IIS webserver in Windows XP only allows 10 concurrent connections? So its probably better to get .NET Webserver/Standard Server

Point taken Aaron, you're right about the 10 connections. Our Compaq server is still on Beta3 but will take the plunge and move to RC1 at somepoint.

Don't you think it is easier for setting up services like website, intranet, DNS and stuff with the new wizards.

I quite like it.

Thanks,

Mark
