An Australian court has ruled that Sony Playstation owners can modify their consoles to play pirated and import games.

"Australian consumers can now enjoy games legitimately bought overseas, as well as authorized back-up copies, by legally having their games consoles chipped," said Allan Fells, charmain of The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
