I get this error while trying to slipstream SP2 using C:\sp2\XPSP2.exe -s:c:\xpcd\

"The procedure entry point _wcstoui64 could not be located in the dll msvcrt.dll"

Any help is appreciated.

try...

XPSP2.exe /X

Then go to the update directory and type

update.exe -s:C:\XPCD

are you trying this on a W2K or XP or 2003 system?

From the look of it, seems like you're either doing this on a 64-bit PC (which may error out), or your XP install source or the service-pack version is 64-bit.

That just could be a cause for the problems you are facing. Try eliminating those factors.

Alanoll:

That is what I am doing with "C:\sp2\XPSP2.exe -s:c:\xpcd\"

prathapml:

It is not a 64bit pc. I couldn't find a different version of sp2 either. If there is a different 64bit version that could be the problem. Don't think there is one though.

mine said it slipstreamed OK using the same extraction process described above, however, it messed up something to do with the NTFS, some ini file error

glad I didn't try to put it on my main maching, gotta love the test machines : :)
