cancer10 Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Hi,Today I have installed Windows 2003 Server. I found many bugs (I don't know what to call them) in it.1) Sometimes when I try to Copy a text or file or folder and try to paste in somewhere else by right click and "paste", I find the "paste" option disabled. 2) When I try to open a link with right click "Open link in new window" it does not open. (I don't have any pop up killer in my computer)Does this happen to you also (if you are using windows 2000, XP or 2003?Please tell me some remedy for my problems.
Minus Human Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 I've had that problem before but it wasn't a 2003 server problem. All the times that happend it turned out to be a variation from the blaster worm. Run the patch AND the removal tool that should clear it up. You will prob also notice your control panel Icons are all positioned to the right.Minus Human

cancer10 Posted July 26, 2004 Author Posted July 26, 2004 I have tried updating my system but it says that one of your drive is not NTFS partition.I don't want NTFS partition does that mean I cannot update my OS?
Ge0ph Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 You should be able to update your system with either NTFS or FAT32 partitions. However, why don't you want to use NTFS? It is far better then FAT32.
cancer10 Posted July 27, 2004 Author Posted July 27, 2004 What is the difference between NTFS and FAT32 ?Will all my programs run on NTFS?
MCT Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 ya, they should, fat32 is basically for harddrives with less then 32GB sizes, while NTFS is a better filesystem & more secure
Minus Human Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Cancer, sorry hadn't checked in for awhile thanks to amdphr3@kXP you can also get a removal tool from microsoft for blaster incase the removal tool from symantec doesn't workMinus Human
