Could someone kindly tell me how to open the .CAB files you find on most software disks usually labelled data1.cab etc...

I have tried loads of software but get a similiar message every time "unrecognized archive".

TIA

Easy...

I am pretty sure that WinRAR will let you view the content of a .cab

You can download version of this software here

Hope my first post on here was as usefull as I have found this site.

Best say that i think that is a Trail Version as well.

Thanks

Well thats strange cos it works for me... Just tested and worked perfectly, I can edit all files and everything.

If you want to open install shield cab files you can use the attached command line program. You normally need data1.cab, data2.cab and data1.hdr to make it work.

Should work with most never install packages...

cab6.rar
