I guess it asked you whether to overwrite some files or not.

You'll have to edit the setup.lst manually to remove the offending files and try if your application still works.

I found two programs that allow you to convert the Visual Basic setup.lst into an Inno Setup script.

The first is the well known ISTool.

The second is InnoScript.

It's your decision if it's worth the effort. But it really isn't that difficult.

did u replace his "1's" with the actual code?

did u use this 2 run the .reg file silently?

REGEDIT %systemdrive%\Reg\SnagIt.reg ?

MCT , ofcourse I did replace it with my actual code... I use this to run the reg silently:

REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\install\Snagit.reg

But this didnt register the prog and I have no idea why , do you ???

Did you run your reg file before or after installing the app? Try both.

Plus, sometimes serials are encrypted.

also, just try double clicking the .reg file 2 see if its something with your command (it looks ok tho)

I tried this reg file on a clean system xpsp1 with a clean registry on vmware & worked like charm

u should first try the reg on a clean system with no preceiding installation or registration.

Think this might work on win2k also ; I hope.

/S doesn't work any more. It keeps asking which language I want to install. The reg still works.

edit: hmm still should be /S according to Techsmit...
