NAV 2003 Beta

Featured Replies

Symantec have released a public beta of its popular Anti virus software "Norton Antivirus 2003" it weighs in at just under 35mb and is full featured version. Many new improvements and new features have been added to Norton AntiVirus 2003. Symantec are very interested in your feedback on this product. Symantec will give away 50 FREE copies of Norton AntiVirus 2003 to the first 50 beta users that submit undocumented bugs. Winners will be notified via e-mail.

Bear in mind that this is a beta so you could encounter problems. as stated on the Symantec beta site:

One of the main reasons we release beta software is for testing purposes. Beta means that the product is still under development and is likely to contain bugs. We would like your feedback on the product, but we do not provide support on beta software.

Please be sure to follow the installation instructions in the readme file that accompanies the beta software.

Sounds a bit dodgy to me, testing virus software... Could get a virus without the software picking it up, then how would you report the bug?! :)

Yea testing new virus software doesent sound like the brightest thing to do...but to each his own i sappose....ill just stick with the NAV coperate edition

:)

Plus it needs to be cracked. It expirers in 30 days.

cya,

will

Im sure someone wont take too long to crack it, lol. Crackers dont normally take too long :)

Now why would you want a cracked beta? Beta software is buggy! You can always wait for a retail final to *cough* leak on the net :)

I know but I'm sure someone will. New beta will come at later anyways. Most likely before 30 days.

dear god, nortan is becoming worse than MS with there version. Just released 2002 not to long ago and were barly in the middle of the second year and there starting 2003. Cant possible be that much of a change could there?

Norton 2002 was released end of last summer, and this end of summer is nearing... and that'll be when the beta stage of NAV 2003 is finished. That's one full year gap from their last AntiVirus release. so what's the problem?
