Hello All,

What does it mean by a barebone pc?

Does that include a motherboard as well..?

Barebone kits are generally the main essentials: the motherboard, the case and the power supply.

They also generally contain on-board intergrated video.

In other words, you need to buy the processor, hard drive, cd/dvd drive and a decent graphics card.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot, you also need to buy the RAM.

Edit2: Most places I visit offer to build, what they call, barebone PC's. You tell them exactally what you want, including specific parts, they assemble them and then sell them to you. That's only if you don't know how to put it together yourself. It isn't a true barebone PC but that's what they like to call them.

yeah, more or less the absolute minimum pc..

usually motherboard,case,psu and cpu..

or what i actually call a barebones for selling is a pc without a monitor..

I work at a computer retail store and we consider a Barebones A Case (w/ PSU) MObo, Cpu and ram all assembled a Barebones

The HDD, optical and OS can generally be provided by the end user if they have a previous computer.
