Chris Lee Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Does anyone have the silent switch for this program? Thanks.
Strat79 Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 it IS /s just checked.Might want to pskill icq after install too.
planoleg Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 I also use an anti-banner patch for icq 2003, but I don't know which switch to use, can anyone help?
Gee Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 If I recall, the anti-banner patch just patches two .dll files, so all you have to do is install silently and then replace the .dll files.
planoleg Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 If I start replacing files etc. I'll get far away from unattended installation very soon
Gee Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Replace the files in your clean up batch file. This way it will still be unattended. I still use ICQ 2003b and I am pretty sure I will eventaully have to switch over to the lite version. But since they haven't updated the program in 4 years, it is a safe bet that copying the .dll files during your cleanup command will be a permanent solution.
MHz Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 How do I do that? To copy files in a command file, then go to the command prompt window and type copy /? to get the syntax needed for you to do the commands needed.ICQ 2003, last of the good versions IMO
Gee Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) Better Late than nevercopy the two modified .dll files toXPCD\$OEM$In your clean up batch file, copy /y %systemdrive%\*.dll "%systemdrive%\program files\icq\" Edited June 7, 2007 by Gee
