NTL Proxy Severs

Featured Replies

Do you have NTL broadband, do some pages not load up and you cant view Yahoo Profiles, the problem is you need to use a good proxy server and that should sort the problem out.

Steps To Set Up A Proxy Server:

1. Go to internet explorer settings

2. Go onto LAN settings under the Connection Tab

3. Fill in the part where it says proxy server

4. Makes sure the port is 8080

4. Choose a server from below

Got a little annoying problem, can any one help?

Although I hate to admit it, I've got NTL broadband  , I had the problem of some pages not loading up and I couldn't view Yahoo Profiles. I did what eXPert said by adding my nearest Proxy server (Birmingham) and it seamed to have sorted the problem nicely and I was actually beginning to like NTL. The other day I came to log on to my hotmail email and something weird happends. It lets me log in to my email account but as soon as I click on to an individual email to view it, i get thrown back to the log-in screen. If i take out the Proxy bit in settings it works, if I add put it back in, it doesnt :)

I've checked other sites where log-ons etc are required but they all seam to work.

Any one got any advice?

try using another proxy near you, i currently am using the:

cache1-mant.server.ntli.net

I have had no probs with it, when i revert to using no proxy some pahges dont loads for me. This means i will be using proxy all the time now
