SP1 already on my cd?

Hello

My Windows XP danish Student license cd is named X1APCCP_DA, does the X1 part mean that SP1 is already integrated...

I only used the cd once several months ago, and now my pc requires a format.

open up the HIVESFT.INF file inside the I386 folder on that CD with Notepad.

there should be a line right up at the top saying something like

DriverVer=07/01/2001,5.1.2600.1106

if it has that, then yes it does have SP1. If the last 4 digits are higher, it's some version of SP2. If it's 0, then it does not include any servicepack.

Faster way is look for a DOTNETFX folder on the root of the cd. If it is normal XP, then it should not be there. SP1 contains this.

not all CDs contain it though. Even SP1 CDs

XIA is the designation for an SP1a-integrated CD.
