ladybird Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 any help with clone the MBR or boot sector from the HD to another HD.I say it again only the MBR or boot sector without the operating systemthanx in advancedladybird
khonjo Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 I do not know why you want to do that, but are you aware that MBR is created when a partition is created in a hard disk, and a boot sector is created when an OS is installed in a partition, and if there is already a boot sector then it will be replaced with a new one?
Noise Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 Active@ Partition Recovery can do this for you. It's shareware. I used it last week to save my dumb a** after I wiped a valuable partition. I know it backs-up and restores MBR's.
