Installing Mcafee V 7

Hi,

Does anyone have an iddea as to how I can lock down a machine so that it does the updates and the system scan at a particular time each day, with the user not being able to change those settings.

I know how to set a schedule up to do that, but the schedule is modifiable by the person using the machine. I tried playing with a few registry settings but instead, I messed up the machine and had to rebuild it.................

if you use Mcafee Virusscan 7 or 7.1 enterprise edition open the Virusscan Console.

Select Tools menu -> User Interface Options... -> Select Password Options -> set a password either for all items or lock down just the features you want.

to reaccess these menu items open Virusscan Console -> Select Unlock User Interface and enter password when prompted.

I am using McAfee VirusScan Professional 7.03.6000

with Scan engine 5.3.00 Virus Definition 4.0.5493 and i would like to remove everything but

the Virus scanner?
