Tarun Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 If this was originally posted in the wrong place, I do apologize in advance. Was unsure whether to post here or the Website forum. With some of the recent success of my software, I've found the need to make my own website. I've ask around to see what some people use. I've heard Frontpage and Dreamweaver being the top two. In case you're wondering; yes, I'm too lazy to try and code a good looking HTML site from scratch.Suggestions are welcome.
Justice Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Take a course in the basics, then decide on an advanced editor. Fine tweaking in notepad is almost always a must.I prefer Dreamweaver MX to Frontpage.
Tarun Posted May 4, 2004 Author Posted May 4, 2004 Took a course in college, but it was basically a runthrough of what I had already learned on my own. I've heard many good things about Dreamweaver.
Datalore Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 I would have to agree with Justice, Dreamweaver rules. It does require some manual notepad tweaking sometimes, especially with tables. Now I just need to learn how to use Divs...
gamehead200 Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Notepad's the best... Get the scripts you need from http://www.hotscripts.com and http://www.webmonkey.com!
barryfl Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 I used Adobe Photoshop CS alongside Dreamweaver MX and ImageReady - Created graphical layout in photoshop then made the layers up in dreamweaver. Links were made using hot spots. Its the best i have found to make a site thats looks graphically intense.BTW as you can tell i prefer Dreamweaver to frontpage but frontpage is a good starting point.
